State of Pride: A Statewide LGBTQ+ Virtual Town Hall

  1. Description: This State of Pride Virtual Town Hall will focus on providing community members with current statewide and federal legislative updates. With Lynn Teague from The League of Women Voters addressing how bills can continue to be discussed and pushed forward outside of session as well as a glimpse into what we could expect for the next 6 months heading into the midterm. Then Matt Butler from the ACLU will address local impacts on South Carolina and the LGBTQ+ community from the current federal shutdown.

Description: The World AIDS Day Red Dress Run/Walk is The Ladies Room SC’s signature fundraiser and awareness event, uniting community members, organizations, and allies across the Upstate of South Carolina to honor lives lost, uplift people living with HIV, and recommit to ending the epidemic.
    Participants of all genders lace up in red dresses or attire to break stigma, spark conversation, and stand in solidarity. This isn’t just a walk — it’s a bold, visible statement!
